Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.

Be able to provide own transportation to and from campus venues.

Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively, with faculty, staff, and students.

Under the supervision of the He Loa Ke Aho Title III Project Coordinator, assists with the support of Native Hawaiian (NH) students in all academic pathways, but with special focus on Hawaiian Studies, Natural Science, and Teaching majors.

Assists Kīpuka Native Hawaiian Center at Puʻuloa personnel with developing workshops, events, activities, and Internet based content that increases Native Hawaiian enrollment, persistence, graduation, and baccalaureate transfer by providing/discussing their personal experiences.

Topics for the above listed strategies include, but are not limited to: financial aid, scholarships, career development, stress management, resilience, and Hawaiian history, language, arts, contemporary issues, and natural resources.

Assists preparing the above listed activities for Internet based delivery.

Assists students with completion of admissions, financial aid, scholarship, and internship applications.

Assists with He Loa Ke Aho staff with basic website development, listserv management, and electronic publicity materials.

May work nights and weekends, on- or off-campus.

Training will be provided on the use of Internet based tools.

Other duties as assigned.
