Finding a job / obtaining referrals is dependent on:
  1. Job Programs - there are 6 programs available to students
  2. Eligibility - based on your academic information
Program Description Eligibility Criteria
UH University jobs, typically on-campus, paid through the University's payroll.
  • At least 1/2 time (6 credits for undergraduates, 4 credits for graduates)
  • In good academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA for undergraduates, minimum 3.0 GPA for graduates)
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. / have, or able to obtain, a valid social security number
  • NONUH Part-time and full-time seasonal Non-University jobs paid by the employer.
  • Meets UH eligibility
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. (off-campus)
  • FWS Federal Work Study.  A financial aid-based program that offers jobs with University employers and non-profit agencies.
  • Meets UH eligibility
  • Received an FWS award via the Financial Aid Office.
  • CO-OP Cooperative Education.  Progressive, long-term, major and career related opportunities.  On-going University support throughout participation.  Typically off-campus.
  • Meets UH eligibility (additional clearances may be required)
  • Home campus is UH Manoa
  • Minimum 30 undergraduate credits
  • 2 full semesters of participation BEFORE graduating
  • Must have a declared major
  • INTERN Internships.  Short-term, major related opportunities.  Typically off-campus.
  • Meets UH eligibility (additional clearances may be required)
  • Home campus is UH Manoa
  • Must have a declared major
  • FULL TIME (FT) Full time work outside of the UH system.
  • 1st check - Degree or Certificate earned from any UH system campus
       - Each campus limits alumni eligibility to those who have graduated within the last 3-5 years
  • Otherwise must meet all points:
       - Currently enrolled student at any UH campuss
       - Half time systemwide
       - 2.0 GPA at home campus
